Tucson Foodies

Well anyone who knows me knows:  I LOVE TO EAT.  When people ask what is the best restaurant in Tucson?  My question is what kind of food do you want to eat?  Tucson has awesome food.  We have an Ethiopan restaurant, Japanese, Korean, Greek, Thai, Vietnamese, Italian, Middle Eastern  and then of course lots of Mexican restaurants to name a few.

I just went to Zemams with some friends.  Ethiopian food is served on Injera bread.  No plates, No silverware.  You get extra Injera bread which you tear off and use kind of like a tortilla to pick up the food you want to eat that is on the platter.

Two of us ordered the Combination platter $12.50 you choose three items and one ordered the vegetarian sampler for $11.75.  I choose the Doro Wat a chicken dish, Yetakelt wat potatoes with vegetables and Zigni a spicy beef.  The spicy beef was my favorite.  What did you expect.  I am Mexican and love spicy food.  Also on our plate Yemisir Wat lentil stew.  I believe the other food was Yemisir Kay Wat red lentils in berbere sauce which to me tasted kind of like refried beans.

I hope if you live in Tucson or are visiting my beautiful town you visit this wonderful
restaurant and create an unforgettable evening.

Until next time.
